Get ready for more laughs as Umaru-chan is back once again for a new season with more of her witty and childish antics.
Based on the hit manga by Sankaku Head, Himouto! Umaru-chan follows the story of Umaru Doma; a beautiful yet perfect role model high school student who everyone looks up to and adored by everyone (especially her classmates). But what people outside didn't know that Umaru has a secret: inside her home, her personality is different (which is personified in chibi form): she's lazy, wears hoodie, loves junk food, enjoyed playing video games and reads manga all day, much to her elder brother Taihei's dismay. Umaru is friends with Nana Ebina (her classmate/best friend), Kirei Motoba (also good friends with Umaru's chibi alter ego, Komaru) and Sylphynford Tachibana (rival).
Cast and staff from the 1st season will be returning for the new season. So, I'm expecting around another 12-episode series for Umaru, and I really enjoyed watching the previous season, hopefully more of Umaru's antics will be shown in the 2nd season.
Himouto! Umaru-chan R premieres this October in Japan. No specific date yet when the series will air. Check out the 35-second promo video of the series narrated by none other than, Umaru herself (voiced by Aimi Tanaka).
