In celebration of Yu-Gi-Oh! manga's 20th Anniversary, which is next year, Konami will release a special OCG deck set called the MILLENNIUM BOX GOLD EDITION and the upcoming set will focus once more on the powerful Exodia, The Forbidden One.
The set will include reprints from that will focus on summoning Exodia, and it will include 3 new card support to maximize the deck's full potential. The 3 new cards included in this release is a new Exodia monster, Summoned Lord Exodia which this monster can be only summoned by tributing 1 "Forbidden One" part card from hand to graveyard and it gains 1000 ATK for each "Forbidden One" in the graveyard, imagine if the whole Exodia cards in the graveyard, this monster automatically gains 5000 ATK instantly. Other new cards included are Ties of the Brethren, which is a spell card and Exod flame which is a trap card.
The set also introduces a new rarity: Millennium Gold Rare which combines the reflectorized Hieroglyphic markings of the Millennium rare which was first introduced in Duelist Road -Piece of Memory- booster packs and the Gold Ultra Rare rarity which was seen in the Gold series packs. The set also will include reprints of the powerful Egyptian god cards (1st artwork print and tournament legal version) in Gold Millennium rares and of course, Exodia, The Forbidden One.
The MILLENNIUM BOX GOLD EDITION comes with the pre-constructed deck; which most all of it are Millennium Rares, special card case, a gold Millennium Puzzle artwork card protector and special storage box. Its slated to release this coming November 28, so watch out at Courtside card shops near you and priced at 3,000 Yen.
