Anime News: HERO TV Will Air Ouran High School Host Club This November UPDATED

Well November is around the corner and HERO TV, the local Anime cable channel in the Philippines has announced that they will air the anime Ouran High School Host Club in their new anime lineup next month.

For those who haven't heard of this series, Ouran High School Host Club is a romantic comedy manga by Bisco Hatori, published in Hakusensha's LaLa magazine from 2002-2010, it spawned into an anime series in 2006 and a live action drama series in 2011. It revolves the story of Haruhi Fujioka, a poor student who got a scholarship in the prestigious Ouran Academy, a school for the rich and the elite. One day, while looking for a place to study, Haruhi stumbled upon the Third Music room of the academy and discovered a Host club which composed of 6 male students with Tamaki Suoh as the club president with their purpose is to entertain the female student "clients" in the academy.

Upon the encounter, Haruhi accidentally broke a 8,000,000 Yen vase in the club room. To make up for it, Haruhi agreed to serve in the host club as a payment for the broken vase. Upon the surprise of host club members, Haruhi is natural in entertaining the girls every time they visit the host club. The problem? The host club members learned that Haruhi is a SHE. Because of her boyish looks, they mistakenly took Haruhi as a boy without even learning that in fact she was really a girl. That's where the story revolves the crazy adventures of the Ouran Host Club.

I love watching this series when I first saw it and now HERO TV will do a Filipino dub of this anime. Hopefully, the voice dubbing in the series will be good as in the original Japanese dub.

UPDATE: Ouran High School Host Club premiere telecast is moved to November 25 instead on November 24, 8PM replacing Majestic Prince on HERO TV. HERO TV is available on Sky Cable and Destiny cable channel 44.
