Since the announcement of the official title of the upcoming Yu-Gi-Oh! movie: The Dark Side of Dimensions at San Diego Comic Con over the weekend, fans who were there got a glimpse of the teaser trailer of the movie, but they were not allowed to take pictures of it. However, we got still images from the movie that were shown at the SDCC.
We have movie image scans taken from latest issue from the latest issue of V Jump magazine, we get see Yugi and Kaiba (cover image shown) in a duel and the second image, we get to see Yugi's friends: Katsuya Jonouchi (AKA Joey Wheeler), Hiroto Honda (AKA Tristan Taylor), Anzu Mazaki (AKA Tea Gardner) and Ryo Bakura (which they look a bit older) watching from the crowds, I'm guessing they're watching Yugi and Kaiba's duel from afar.
In line with the promotion of the movie, the official movie website is now updated, and the Japanese version of the movie poster is also revealed. According to Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Games and Anime News, the teaser trailer that was shown at the SDCC will be shown again on July 18, in conjunction with Dimension of Chaos Booster Pack's day release.
Japanese voice actors Kazuma Shunsuke and Tsuda Kenjiro who will reprise their roles as Yugi Mutou and Seto Kaiba and another special guest (which the name was not revealed) will attend at this year's Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2015 tournament which will be held in Kyoto on August 16 to promote the movie, they will show the teaser trailer again at the event.
The movie's story takes place 6 months after the events of the manga/anime series. Yu-Gi-Oh! creator Kazuki Takahashi serves as the main character design, original story of The Dark Side of Dimensions, which he is also the movie's executive producer. The movie's release will be shown within Japan's Golden Week next year and gets an overseas release later after that.
UPDATE:
Added new scene images, including a glimpse of Yugi's new Duel Disk and wearing a D-Gazer type gear on his head. Also a glimpse of the movie's primary antagonist.
