Get ready for another Noise butt-kicking action as Senki Zessho Symphogear enters its fourth season that will be aired in Japan this coming July 1st.
Titled Senki Zessho Symphogear AXZ (pronounced as Axis) is the latest installment to the Symphogear series franchise. Symphogear follows Hibiki Tachibana and the rest of S.O.N.G. are still on campaign on eliminating the mysterious beings called Noise, using their song-enhanced armor weapons called Symphogear to combat the Noise threat. In the latest season AXZ, Hibiki and the gang are not only going to deal with the Noise, but also a new threat from 3 new mysterious enemies that will be joining the battle against our heroes. Check out the new character designs of Hibiki, Tsubasa Kazanari, Chris Yukine, Maria Cadenzavna Eve, Shirabe Tsukoyomi, and Kirika Akatsuki; in their S.O.N.G. and Symphogear outfits.
Cast and crew from the previous season will return in the new season, with SATELIGHT and Elements Garden are at helm once again to produce the series. In addition to the original cast, 3 new cast will join, voicing the new characters serving as the main antagonists in the latest season. Minako Kotobuki will be voicing Saint-Germain (left); a beautiful female alchemist who dresses as a man and aims for perfection. Shouta Aoi will be the voice of Cagliostro (center); an alchemist who used to be male until he met Saint-Germain and attained a "perfect," eternally youthful female body. She used to be a lying swindler but is now honest about everything. Finally Rina Hidaka is the voice of Prelati (right), another alchemist who used to be male before meeting Saint-Germain and attaining a perfect female body. She used to be a showy pleasure-seeker, but now works diligently as a researcher.
As with the previous seasons, voice actress/singer Nana Mizuki (who also voiced Tsubasa Kazanari in the series) will sing the new opening theme titled TESTAMENT while Ayahi Takagaki (who also voiced Chris Yukine) will once again sing the series' ending theme with a new song titled Futurerism and of course multiple character songs from the main heroes will be singing their own songs which will be used for powering their Symphogears in the series.
While the 4th season is well underway, its also announced that a 5th season of the series was given a green-lit and a new game for the smartphones will be released by Bushiroad later this year. Senki Zessho Symphogear AXZ premieres in Japan, July 1st @ 25:00 (technically airing July 2, 12:00 AM, Manila time) on TOKYO MX and BS11, and it will also air on MBS and TV Aichi later the same night. It will also be streamed on Abema TV, d Anime Store, Bandai Channel, Anime Hōdai, U-NEXT, Amazon Prime Video, Niconico Live Broadcast, and Niconico Channel.
