MF Bunko J, Imprint of Kadokawa publishing (Media Factory) has announced that they plan to continue Noboru Yamaguchi's Zero no Tsukaima (The Familiar of Zero) Light Novel series after the author's passing in 2013.
This was announced last Thursday, June 25 by Sou Yurigi; editor-in-chief that they decided to continue the series and plans to end it, this was also officially announced at the official Zero no Tsukaima website. According to MF Bunko J, Yamaguchi-sensei plans to end the series at volume 22 of the light novel which was originally planned, but he passed away due to cancer in April 2013, leaving the story unfinished. The remaining plot and the its ending was now entrusted to the editors.
The publisher has received numerous stream of request from the fans, and added that the late author's family has also expressed their desire for the series to be completed. First published by Media Factory in June 2004 by Noboru Yamaguchi and illustrated by Eiji Usatsuka, The Familiar of Zero Light Novel series has amassed to 20 volumes (as of February 2011); spawned five side story volumes and four anime TV series. The 4th and final season, The Familiar of Zero F aired in 2012. All of the anime series were also aired in the Philippines; in Filipino dub on HERO TV.
