In celebration of HERO TV's 10th anniversary, they will bring us new anime programs in store for the 3rd Quarter of the year and one of them is the hit series, Akame ga KILL!
Akame ga KILL! is a 24-episode TV series, based on the manga by Takahiro and illustrated by Tetsuya Tashiro, published in Square Enix's Gangan Joker which the serialization started in March 2010. The anime series is produced by WHITE FOX which aired in Japan from July 6, 2014 till December 14, 2014. The story focuses on Tatsumi, a young man who travels to the Capital to raise money for his home village. He encounters the Night Raid; the Revolutionary army's hit squad sent on a mission to kill the people that Tatsumi befriended during his 1st stay in the Capital. But after the fight with Akame; the Night Raid's best assassin and the Capital's most wanted person, Tatsumi learned the truth from the other Night Raid members the harsh reality of a strong corruption within the Capital after his village companions were killed, by the very same people who befriended him. Tatsumi eventually joined the Night Raid and vowed to end the corruption in the Capital.
I already watched the whole series, and it was quite good: a lot of action, little bit of comedy, violence galore, and mostly, major character deaths. If you want know who's who gets axed, find out for yourself since I don't want to spoil everyone for those who haven't watched the series or read the manga. And of course the series will be in Tagalog dub, but I know the dubbing in the series won't be overrated and overacting.
Akame ga KILL! premieres on August 20 at 10:30pm with replays at 4:30am, the following day on HERO TV. HERO TV is on channel 3 and 44 on Sky Cable and channel 44 on Destiny cable.
