I don't know where to begin, but I guess 2011 has been ups and downs for me, a lot's that happened this past year here's my rundown of all that's happened in 2011.

2011 was been a never-ending roller coaster that's been happened in my life. First of, finding work was one of my first priorities in 2011 but alas, I didn't get any. The pressure of finding work even affected me here at home which it becomes more stressful and depressing. But despite that, I still thank for all of the contract jobs that I had (most especially at my first company that I've worked with for almost 8 years) still calls me for maintenance in their computers, sidelining for a friend in concert events when I'm assisting him, and the sideline projects that I have (although I lost 1 big client in the 2nd half of the year), but I'm still thankful that I was able to earn money and make ends meet somehow.

2011 is also the year that I'm using my cam phone and my friend's digicam in taking pictures in events as my camera that's I've been using since 2007 broke, and it was fixed in time before Collecticon. Still nevertheless, I was able to make some good shots even using only my cam phone.

For being a toy collector and toy blogger as well, 2011 was very much brighter for my hobby, though I was not able to collect some new toys due to budget constraints but I was able make most of my toy collecting through some new online friends I met in Facebook and joined on some groups such as Toy Collectors Lounge and Robot Collector's Haven (RCH). My online store MS Hobbes was fully launched and I'm selling some decent toy figs and itmes. The biggest achievement that I had for 2011 was for Robot Pilipinas as it was the first time to exhibit in the prestigious ToyCon 2011 and Collecticon, thanks to Azrael and Sir Dan Castro of PTK. Also I've started my new food blog, Eat's A Blog late this year for all my food escapades, but its still starting, I hope would build this blog up as I did for Robot Pilipinas.

That's it for me, 2011 has been a blast but I hope in 2012 it would be a brighter one for me since its my lucky year, Year of the Dragon. I'm wishing more blessings and opportunities that I will gain next year. And hopefully I go back to blogging events as well not only for food and toy and hobby but also for gadget events too.

First Look of Rurouni Kenshin Live Action Image

I'm going to be excited that Nobuhiro Watsuki's Rurouni Kenshin will have a live action movie. I'm more excited that Kamen Rider Den-O's Takeru Satoh will play the main character, Kenshin Himura. After browsing in Facebook, Rurouni Kenshin fans posted first image of Satoh dressed as Himura, check it out.

I think he looked ok in the costume, let's just hope the movie will be a good one when it hits the theaters August next year.

Heer0san's Blog: Remembering Steve Jobs

When I learned the news the passing of Steve Jobs, Apple's Co-Founder and former CEO who lost battle to pancreatic cancer yesterday, the whole IT industry lost a great innovator that contributed to the industry.

Jobs put Apple back to the leading IT market near the end of the century when he introduced the IPod, IMac and the Macbook. It got more popular when he introduced the IPhone, Macbook Air and IPad. I'm a big fan of Apple even though I never personally own an Apple gadget (although my dad owns an IPod Nano a few years back which I borrowed), its just sad that we lost a great man that boosted the IT industry to the Nth level.

If I ever want to own a Mac notebook, I would gladly cherish it. Thank you Mr. Jobs, your great contribution to the IT industry will be remembered.

Avatar: The Legend of Korra Official Trailer Revealed

Remember the news I posted last year about the new Avatar series? Well, here's the official video trailer of the upcoming Avatar sequel, The Legend of Korra.

While I watched the trailer, it blew me away, its better that the Last Airbender. For those who haven't follow Avatar: The Last Airbender, Legend of Korra is the sequel to the first series. Korra, the protagonist of the series is the new Avatar after her previous incarnation, Aang which 70 years has passed since the Last Airbender. Korra comes from the Water Tribe (technically the next Avatar in line after air), she has already mastered 3 of the 4 elements already (including her water bending ability).

I'm totally stoked and gonna watch this series, I can't wait when it finally comes out. The Legend of Korra will air 26 episodes and its slated to air next year. For now, check out the awesome video trailer.

Revoltech Kenshin Himura Figure Revealed

Thanks to my good buddy Raj over at Facebook for the heads-up. Check out the image of the upcoming Revoltech Kenshin Himura which it was previewed at this year's Wonder Festival.

As I reported the teaser image weeks before, now we revealed this full figure image of Kenshin Himura. It seems there are 2 versions of Himura, the first is his Hitokiri Battousai days (left) and his present look. Now this is a real treat for Rurouni Kenshin fans.

The Revoltech Kenshin Himura figure is slated for October release and priced at 2,980 Yen.

Heer0san's Blog: On The Brink of Depression and Nervous Breakdown

As much as possible I want to have a positive output on my blog but in these past few months, its not going well as I hoped it would be better this year. I'll tell you why.

Ever since I no longer have work for 2 years already, I've decided to do some sideline and freelance projects while I'm looking for new work. But the incentives I get from those projects aren't enough to keep me doing what I do best. Now, I have frequent freelance on calls and its really depressing, not only physically but mentally as well. Job hunting is not doing so well either as I was looking for work that will suit what I'm good at - on hands computer technician.

I'm 35 and its hard finding work at my age where it became more and more stressful, the more I became depressed. The encouragement and being here at home is not going well either. Its getting more and more stressed until to the point I'm having a nervous breakdown and can't concentrate on my sideline projects where I leave it and not finishing on time. So freaking stressful, I felt I want to leave it all behind. Seriously.

But, amids these stressful times, I still look a positive outlook in life and never give up. Good thing toy collecting and customizing is the one thing that keeps me from going insane and relieving me from stress. Blogging on the other hand keeps me from stressing out too, writing to my heart's content.

Its the 2nd half of the year already, I should look a new work already before the year ends, until then I would keep looking, stay positive and never give up.

Blogger's New Interface - UPDATED

Yesterday, I was using Blogger's old user interface when I was posting news over at Robot Pilipinas, a while ago when I'm about to start posting the Kenshin Himura figure news over at my personal blog, this shows up on my screen, welcome to Blogger's new interface.

The new Blogger dashboard interface design is pretty much similar to Google+, Google's new social networking site. I'm a little confused with the new layout when I'm starting to blog, it will take time of getting used to the new interface. Aside from the layout overhaul, they also improved overview of your blogs mostly the built-in analytics graph which shows you how many users visited your site. Also, they added an earnings page as well which can check if your site is earning using Google's Adsense and Adwords. Unfortunately, the feature is not yet online, it will still use the old monetize function which will be redirected to the old layout to check your earnings.

Even the design layout page has a different feel; moreover, they also added a new feature: a Favicon which you can change Blogger's default logo to your custom logo that will appear on your internet browser's tab. Unfortunately, I tried using it replacing the Blogger icon with my custom icon, probably it has to do with my current template, anyway I can do that some other time.

The biggest gripe I have with this is that when you are typing on compose mode, there is no scroll button to click if you're writing a very long blog (shown example above). You have to use the scroll wheel on your mouse or scroll pad on your laptop to scroll up or down. I don't know why I can't see it probably because I'm using Chrome, it seems the scroll bar appears when I'm using ~~I'll try it on~~ Firefox (I'm using ver. 5, shown image below) ~~when I post news on Robot Pilipinas~~.

With so many features, I can see now why Google is working hard in unifying their products on Google+ as one, as I'm thinking of the recent news I read that Blogger and Picasa will rebrand because of this, let's just hope the URL's doesn't change, I hate losing site visitors mostly Robot Pilipinas traffic is starting to get better. We'll just see in the coming days/months until Google+ formally launches.

Revoltech Kenshin Himura Teaser Image - UPDATED

It's been a while since I'm posting some news other than robots over at Robot Pilipinas, here something special news: with the news brewing over the net regarding the revival of the most popular anime series, Rurouni Kenshin franchise with a new TV series and a movie starring Kamen Rider Den-O's Takeru Satoh playing the main character, Kenshin Himura.

I have news regarding that a Kenshin figure is in the works and it will be released under the Kaiyodo Revoltech line. Check out the teaser image I found over at guNjap's site.

So far this is the image I got and still no word when the full figure image ~~and the information when this will be released~~. So we have to stay tuned for further developments.

Relase information and price has been updated thanks to guNjap. The figure is slated for October release and priced at 2,980 Yen.

Nintendo's New Console Confirmed

Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto finally confirms that they will release a new console that will succeed the Nintendo Wii and will be more powerful than Sony's Playstation 3.

According to Miyamoto, in his interview “Even when the Wii launched we were developing new hardware, work on 3DS had already started. It’s a matter of when we announce it.” There are rumors spreading the new console for Nintendo that will replace Wii dubbed "Project Cafe" and it will use a more powerful processor than Playstation 3 and the size of the console will be as large as of the original X-Box and the design will be a modernized version of Ninetndo's successful consoles, the SNES. It will feature 1080p output with the potential for stereoscopic 3D capability as well the controllers with integrated touchscreens (shown above) and capable of streaming games to each controller, but its still rumors on the new console's capabilities and features.

Event: BloggersFest 2011

Its been a while since going out of town for once in a while and attended Blogger events such as this one. Last April 16, bloggers from all over the metro attended BloggersFest: a 1 day Blogging event which was held at the Event Center in Thunderbirds Resort in Binangonan, Rizal.

Around 200 bloggers attended the fun-filled event, experienced and newbie bloggers alike. Aside from getting to know the bloggers and contests, we listened to the top bloggers such as Azrael Coladilla, Jonel Uy, Arvin Ello, and Fritz Villafuerte as they speak topics such as Blogging 101, Photoblogging, Basic SEO, Writer's Block and many more.

Most of the bloggers who signed up for an hour long workshop where they learn from the best bloggers from various fields, share their knowledge to aspiring bloggers. It was a fun experience for me meeting the Bloggers I've known and talked to them again. We were also treated some awesome number courtesy of the Indios who performed at the event.

At the end of the day, its totally awesome experience. Wish there would have these same events in the future. For now, check out the images that I captured at the event.

Banchetto Foodtrip Experience

Last April 15, my friends and I went on a little sidetrip; food sidetrip that is. We went to the weekly Banchetto in Ortigas.

What is Banchetto? Banchetto is a weekly street food fest located in Emerald Avenue in Ortigas where local goers hang out and eat to their heart's content as it is showcased an array of mouthwatering cuisines from Filipino to American and even Korean dishes at an affordable, if not reasonable price. It's like a food bazaar in the middle of the street. People from all walks of life gathered there for a weekly dose of foodtrip.

So we went there and got something to eat since my friend's sister treated us. I went on something American and ordered a Salisbury steak with macaroni and cheese with mash potatoes as a side dish which priced at Php 125 (shown above). My friends ordered some tacos, baby back ribs, pesto and Rockefeller oysters, and a burrito (my side dish). We got also cakes as dessert as well.

My friend and his sister commented that the food they ordered doesn't taste good, my other friend said the food he ate is just ok. Mine on the other hand, what I ate tasted good mostly the Salisbury steak. The oysters isn't bad either although we should have ate it when it is still warm and newly cooked. We had cake desserts as well although the price of the cake is Php 70 for a small slice (the Sansrival slice which I ate) is a little steep, wish the serving is a little bigger.

Aside from my friend's comments, I would like to go back there and eat again, its a wonderful indulging experience. Next time, I'm ordering some Korean food. Banchetto opens every Friday night in Emerald Avenue from 11PM till 11AM. You may check out other Banchetto branches in Pioneer and in Libis (like Emerald) they also have a schedule as well.

Oh man, I really have tons of backlogs to do and I haven't started or worked on it due to helping a friend or busy at my contract work.

Since its Holy week, I'll try to take some time off on other matters; get some rest and finish what backlog I have right now whether on my blog or custom works. On Saturday, I'm going to be very busy again as I'm going back in the office for another round of contract work and finally get the server fixed as soon as possible, it really is pain in the a** fixing its OS and getting it stable.

Hopefully I would finish this so I can attend this year's Salubong on Easter Sunday morning and helping my friend once more fixing up our toy display in his house (most of my toy collection were also displayed there). For now, I'll be uploading the pics for my upcoming blog posts.

Let's Go Kamen Rider Movie Trailer

Thanks to FCTI, here's the official trailer of the upcoming 40th Anniversary Kamen Rider (Masked Rider) movie titled Let's Go Kamen Rider.

The movie features all of past Masked Riders with current Masked Rider OOO, New Den-O as the main characters in the movie as they take on the resurrected Shocker who defeated Masked Rider 1 and 2 in the past that successfully altered the history with Shocker ruling the world. In order to correct it, Eiji Hino (OOO) traveled back into the past (with the Den-Liner crew) to prevent this from happening.

This is going to be one epic of a movie that Masked Rider fans should not miss. Check out the full trailer.

I feel I'm convinced getting this Sci-Fi Revoltech figure if I have the dough that is that's because B-O-T of ACToys has posted images of the upcoming Iron Man Mk. VI in package.

Wow there's a whole lot of articulation of this figure and the effects parts is not bad totally kickass figure without a doubt. Poor Booska, he's the victim of IM's repulsor blast. LOL! Check out these awesome images.

Anime News: Death Note Live Action US Version?

Bad news for Death Note Fans as Warner Brothers officially confirmed that there will be another Death Note live action version; this time its a western version.

According to Deadline.com, the film company hired Shane Black to direct the said movie. I like Death Note as watched the anime and Japanese live action; the sad thing is the new Death Note movie will be a westernized version, I just hope that the stars who will sign on to this project will be suitable on their roles as Light and L respectively.

Written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata, Death Note was originally published in Japan and later collected in 12 trade paperbacks that have sold more than 38 million copies worldwide. Check out the whole story at Deadline.com's homepage.

Heer0san's Blog: A Look Back at 2010 and Starting The New Year Anew

Its been a while since I posted on this blog, A lot's happened, and lemme tell you, 2010 wasn't been very great year for me.

2010 is not my strong year its much worse compared to 2009, the first was finding a new work, which ends up in zero as it was really hard to find work that fits my job description, and the contract work's getting less and less calls making harder for me to earn to make ends meet.

Second, the stress on my sideline and custom projects which got me sick more and more during the year. I even got sick again which was worst I had just last month. And third, I had technical breakdowns because of overuse to do my sideline projects, had to replace some parts to get it running though I still need funds to get the units running at 100%.

On the lighter side, there are still good things that happened last year, I get to meet new friends in the toy community, offline and online. Attend to conventions even though ending up exhausted but it was good. I was able to go out of town; not just once but twice this year. And I was able to resume blogging again, specifically Robot Pilipinas which resumed last November.

Still there are a lot of things I wanted to do this starting this new year and I want it to make it count. Hopefully, I will get an new work this year; even better if there are more contract work jobs too and also resume blogging once more both on this blog and in Robot Pilipinas. And also try to get some of the pending toy custom works finished before I can start a new one and hopefully this year, I can accept toy commissions too. Need also to resume my secret toy kitbash project I've been working on since 2009 and hopefully I finally get it done.

Oh and by the way, Happy New Year to all!!!

Tokusatsu News: Masked Rider O's Video preview

New Avatar Series Confirmed

Believe it or not, Avatar: The Last Airbender will have a spin-off series.

With the release of The Last Airbender movie, Nickelodeon President Brown Johnson announced a new spin-off of the Avatar series, The Legend of Korra (still in working title).

Set in the Avatar universe, 70 years after the defeat Firelord Ozai, a new Avatar was born from the Southern Water Tribe named Korra. Unlike the previous Avatars, Korra is fearless, passionate and rebellious girl who already mastered 3 elements (Water, Earth and Fire) with only left to master Airbending. She sets off to Republic city, a steampunk technology city where benders and non-benders from all nations live together. It is also plagued with crime and a growing anti-bending revolution that threatens the city. Joining her is Temzin, son of the previous Avatar, Aang who teaches Korra Airbending while she deals with the dangers in the Replublic city.

Created by Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, Avatar: The Last Airbender was a huge hit in Nickelodeon's animation line-up in 2005 and won several awards. Personally I like this series and hopefully the spinoff series The Legend of Korra will be successful as the previous one.

It will be slated in Nicktoons 2011 line-up and it will be produced in their studios in Burbank, Ca.

Happy 30th Anniversary, Pac-Man

Google is always changing the design of their logos if there is an event celebrating. But on May 22 is a fun one, that's because its the 30th birthday of Pac-Man. I'm not talking about the People's champ but the video game icon.

I remember when I first playing Pac-Man when I was in Grade 4 on Family Computer, I have fun playing it. Aside from Galaga and Super Mario, Pac-Man is also my fave video game during that time. Like Mario, Pac-Man is considered the well-loved played video game of all time and you can still play the game today. It even has competitions like the Pac-Man World Championship; the game is also can be played online and on your handheld devices such as Gameboy and even your iPhone. Let's face it everyone loves playing Pac-Man.

Since its his 30th Anniversary, Google also put up a working Pac-Man video game on their logo. To play the game, just simply press the "Insert Coin" button and enjoy playing the Pac-Man game you always love but it only be played for 1 day. So have fun playing!

Elections 2010: To Vote or not to Vote

Tomorrow, it will be the biggest event that will happen in our country. I'm talking about the National Elections; it is where we go out and vote to pick the next president that will govern our country.

So what's special about this election this year? It is the first time that we will experience automated elections in our country that Comelec spends millions of pesos on automated PCOS machines that will use to vote for the next incoming leaders and avoiding manual counting & nationwide cheating. I think everyone knows the scandal that rocked our entire country, the "Hello Garci" scandal in 2004 presidential elections. I hope this election will not have the same mistake as what happened in 2004.

Anyway, since were going to vote for the next president, its been somewhat a tight race. 3 top candidates vie the top spot. I'm more concerned of what's going to happen in the incoming elections. Ever since the campaign began, its nothing more than a media circus that's been happening. There's also a black propaganda and the endless ramblings and survey bragging also the threat of going to People Power if a certain candidate gets cheated. There are other concerns regarding how effective these PCOS machines are. I've been watching the news lately and there are been reports of problems with the said machines, we had lots of months to prepare and solve the bugs out but it seems that the problem getting more and more problematic and some concerned groups that if the automated elections fail, it will resolve through manual counting. What the heck?

I've been having random thoughts about this election and whether or not to vote. I know everyone will say to me that I should vote because its our right as a citizen of this country. But with what's going on lately, I've been skeptical voting tomorrow and if I should vote. And if I decided to vote, I would vote on the person who an integrity and the right to lead this country, free from corruption. I guess there are some people who will still vote the rotten apples in our government; it is still a vicious cycle and might not change everything. So I say everyone that you should pick the candidates you will vote for and hopefully it is the right candidate for the job not sitting in the office and do nothing. I hope everyone has a clear conscience on this. Just my two cents.

Tech Event: SM Cyberzone Summer Festival

SM Cyberzone; you're one stop shop for the latest gadgets, laptops, desktops and mobile phones is holding its Summer Festival; a one day event per mall which started last April 30 in SM Southmall and it will end on May 28 in SM Megamall.

I went in SM City Manila last May 1 as the Summer Festival was scheduled there. Few exhibitors attended at the event; MSI, Torque, Samsung, Epson showcasing their products to visitors during the event. Nido Discovery Science joins as one of the exhibitors as well. There are several activities happened there; Photo uploading, where visitors can get picture taken using a Samsung Digicam and printed using Epson's photo printer. There are also games that can be played during the event like Rock Band for PS3 and Wii Sports. I really sucked in playing Rock Band but playing Tennis on Wii is more exciting and getting a workout at the same time, I really dig it. Also there's showcase of Torque Mobile phones and a Netbook from MSI. Aside from that, there are DJ and Art workshops during the event also.

Visitors who registered at the event, gets a chance to bring home a Torque mobile phone and other consolation prizes by joining their Pick-A-Prize game within the event. Though I didn't win the prize, I also registered and joined the Cyberzone Blog contest during the event where Bloggers can post their experience during the event. The winner will take home an Asus X58Le laptop. You must be a blogger and have your own blog site to qualify for the contest. In celebration of Labor Day, SM Malls is holding a Job Fair today.

Hundreds of newly graduates and applicants whose doesn't have a current work/resigned converged at the ground floor in SM Manila for whole day of job seeking. Anime News: Stan Lee Co-creates HEROMAN

Stan Lee is no stranger to the comic business in the US; co-created several of comic icons we know today such as Spider-man, The Fantastic Four, Avengers and Iron Man (with an upcoming movie sequel in May). But did you know that he also co-created a Japanese manga series?

Titled HEROMAN is a Japanese manga series co-created by Lee in collaboration with Japanese Animation studio BONES, making it the first manga made by the said company. Though Stan Lee wrote the story, Tamon Ota provides the illustations of the characters. It started serializing in Square Enix's Monthly Shōnen Gangan in September of last year. It eventually turned into Anime series which was aired last April 1 which BONES is also doing the animation production as well.

HEROMAN tells the story of Joey, a poor boy living with his grandmother working in a restuarant in the West Coast. When he heard of a new toy robot called the Heybo, he believes that getting one will make his life better, turning it into a hero to protect his loved ones. Unfortunately, he cannot afford to buy one because of his small salary. His luck changed when he found a broken down Heybo; tried to fix it even naming it Heroman, haven't any luck in getting the toy to work.

So far, it already aired 2 episodes in Japan, though you can watch it online through Crunchyroll. I haven't watched the series yet, I think it might be a must watch Anime series since Stan Lee created the story. We'll see how the story goes well

Heer0san's Blog: In search for 2nd Hand Desktop PC Parts

We all know that the Desktop PC is an all-purpose equipment. It can be used to surf the internet, blogging, office document work and much more. What if one of the parts in the PC broke down, will you look for replacement parts or buy a new unit?

As for me, my Desktop PC is a big investment for my sideline projects, and of course blogging as it served me for 5 years+ running. Of course during these years, I have a few problems encountered on my PC but managed to fix it because spare parts that were still available during that time. However last year, I run in with a concerned problem, my CPU fan bracket broke and its not holding the CPU fan properly. Because of that, everytime I open the PC, it immediately shuts down because the processor produces heat everytime you use the computer too much and it automatically shuts down when the processor is already overheating. A CPU fan with heatsink regulates the processor from overheating and it will have a smooth operation if the fan is properly placed.

Going back to my problem, I'm already in panic when my CPU fan brace broke down as I don't have a clue where to find spare parts since the the said part is obsolete (My desktop PC is a Pentium 4 unit). Fortunately, I got an old non-working P4 motherboard from a friend of mine and the CPU fan brace is in good condition. I removed the brace from the old-broken board and installed it on my motherboard then installed my CPU fan after that my CPU is working normally again and I was relieved.

Unfortunately, my relief didn't last. Just 2 days ago, the CPU Fan brace I replaced last year broke again and I was in panic mode on where to get a spare brace. I have 2 options that I thought of; but its risky and probably expensive, but I took the chance: going to Raon or to Gilmore. I immediately went to Raon first to look and fortunately there are some vendors that sells PC parts and I was lucky to find the brace I was looking for and it only cost me Php 50 per piece.

I bought 4 pieces and went home after that, I never thought going to Gilmore since I already got what I wanted. I installed the newly bought brace to my PC and it was running again like it was brand new.

Thank you to the vendors of Raon for having these 2nd hand Desktop PC spare parts I solely needed to maintain my PC.

Anime Review: Transformers Animated Episode 01 Jap Dub

Few days ago, I finally managed to watch the first episode Transformers Animated in Japanese dub. I am surprisingly not satisfied after I watched it. Here's my quick review of the episode:

Episode 1 is titled "New Chapter! Transformers" (Shinshō! Transformers in Japanese) which is basically Japanse dub of Transform and Roll Out Part 1 in the US. All of the characters names remains unchanged with the exception Bulkhead which was changed to Ironhide, what about Ironhide, what will be his name in the Jap dub version? Though the whole animation and the soundtrack remains unchanged, the episode itself has few edited scenes mostly the parts mentioning Optimus being an Autobot Academy dropout. I don't know the reason why the Japanese producers edited out these scenes. Another scene was slightly edited was the kids interviewing Sari (after Professor Sumdac introduced her) and her chewing her bubblegum after she removed it from her face, I think its too gross for Japanese kids to watch it.

What I'm pretty disappointed is that the animation is not shown as a whole screen and the resolution kinda you're watching from a normal analog TV 4:3 screen (for those who are watching on HD TV's) while there are Autobot logos in the background, kindly look at the posted screencaps. Originally, the episodes were released on DVD in the US is not in wide-screen format, which I understand that. I don't know why the producers are not making the whole episode in full screen format. Probably questions about that left unanswered. What's with the Japanese family shown during the start of the show and at the end of the episode. Father and son discussed regarding about the first episode they watched and the father is comparing it with the original G1 series, which kinda cool trying to share random thoughts about Transformers.

Overall, the first episode of the Japanese dub of TFA is well... sucked, not with the Japanese dub voices, but how the episode was shown and the edited scenes as well. The good point about this version is the opening animation which is so cool and the soundtrack is catchy mostly the theme "Transformers Evo." sung by JAM Project. Love it or hate it, Transformers Animated Japanese dub is here to stay until its series' final run. I would still recommend watching the US dub instead.

SUMMER WARS tells the tale of Kenji Koiso, a math genius who is part time working as a moderator of OZ; a world class virtual Social Networking site that controls most of the everyday lives of people who are registered online on OZ. One day, he was offered a "part-time job" by his senior and crush Natsuki to accompany in her hometown of Ueda, Nagano Prefecture to celebrate her great-grandmother Sakae's 90th birthday. Kenji is shocked when he learned about the part-time job Natsuki offered: to pretend to be her fiance in front of her grandmother and her family. While Kenji is pretending and adjusting to Natsuki's extended family and jealousy at Natsuki's crush and uncle Wabisuke, a mysterious e-mail was sent to him; a math problem which he able to solve it. A sudden turn of events which lead Kenji to be framed for the responsible for hacking into OZ; stolen millions of accounts and caused a major catastrophe to the user's real-world activities connected within the OZ network. Kenji's friend Sakuma learned the haywire was caused by a hacking A.I. called Love Machine which has an ability to gain knowledge. With a threat increasing within OZ affecting the real world, Kenji stands up and convinces Natsuki's family to fight back Love Machine before it gravely affects the real-world.

REVIEW:

Directed by Mamoru Hosoda (Digimon Adventure The Movie 1 & 2 and The Girl who Leapt Through Time), SUMMER WARS tackles with the popularity of Blogs and Social networking sites such as Facebook, Friendster, Myspace and others. Hosoda visualized this movie as if our social networking sites now interacts with our business and daily activities in the real world. Though he used the same theme of having a hacking program on the loose wrecking havoc, Love Machine's role is similar to Diablomon's role in Hosoda's previous work, Digimon Adventure Movie 2: Our War Game.

Most of the entire movie was in 2D animation, it also has CG animation in it especially the OZ virtual environment scenes, the CG in the movie is absolutely stunning as if you're traveling in a virtual world of OZ. The 2D animation background isn't left out either, it is remarkably drawn beautifully. Character designs are done by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto (Evangelion, FLCL, .hack//SIGN). The characters in the movie well-drawn and fits to each character's role. Interaction with the characters though sometimes a little overacting, but overall its okay and enjoyable to watch, mostly the comedic scenes.

Though the overall plot of SUMMER WARS focuses on the popularity of the internet and Social Networking Sites, it also focuses on a boy from being shy to becoming a hero who stood up to do what is right. Family is also focused in the storyline as well. Kenji learned from his summer trip to Natsuki's home the joy and warmth of a family; a thing he never had on his own parents. It deals rivalry and issues within Natsuki's family as well; no matter how many times they fought one another, the bonds of a family stays strong. Every scene in SUMMER WARS is well balanced: from light comedy to heartwarming drama to action, it will not bore you in fact its fun and enjoyable to watch especially the hilarious and cheesy moments of the movie.

THE VERDICT

I would highly recommend this film not just for people who loves going to Social Networking sites but also for the whole family. I now know why this film is critically acclaimed and won several international awards, it is an enjoyable experience in watching it. Hosoda's directing in this movie is rather innovative and entertaining.

I would give SUMMER WARS a rating of 9 out of 10 stars.

FUN FACT: SUMMER WARS used a lot of popular brands throughout the entire movie. Sony, DELL, Microsoft, Isuzu, Apple's Iphone, Nintendo's DS Lite are a few brands that can be seen.

Lenten Event: Visita Iglesia 2010 (Part 2)

Continuing my Visita Iglesia journey, most of the churches I've visited are jam-packed with people because around 5PM, liturgical mass are already starting. San Sebastian church already has their mass started when I visited there. Moving on with my Visita Iglesia journey...

Next church I visited after San Sebastian was St. Jude Parish church located also in San Miguel next to Malacanang Palace. Established in 1954, it is the shrine of St. Jude Thaddeus, patron of hopeless cases and the cousin of Jesus Christ. Novenas are held every Thursday praying to St. Jude your wishes and prayers.

Next stop is Abbey of Our Lady of Monstserrat church or known as San Beda church. It was home of Benedictine monks, completed in 1925 designed by a Swedish architect George Asp. It also houses the image of Santo Nino de Praga, carved by Maximo Vicente Sr. in 1903 (still presently seen there) and the image of Our Lady of Montserrat.

Finally, the last 2 churches I visited are Saint Anthony de Padua church and Our Lady of Loreto church; both in the same location in Sampaloc, Manila. Saint Anthony de Padua was built by Franciscan order to house the image of St. Anthony. Our Lady of Loreto was originally erected in 1613 and it has been destroyed by fire and earthquake since it was built. It is said to believe that this church is a prayer for protection aagainst disaster and tragedies.

Lenten Event: Visita Iglesia 2010 (Part 1)

It is the time again that we Filipino Christians celebrate: Lenten season. It is the time to remember Christ's passion and suffering.

Among of our Lenten traditions is the Visita Iglesia (Church visits in English) which is held every Maundy Thusday of Lent. Usually, my parents and my brothers do this yearly, but as I got older, I go Visita Iglesia by myself and visit churches all over Manila. Though I commute to my starting point on my Visita Iglesia, from the starting point, I walked to the other churches by foot instead of commute.

I visited 9 churches this year with Ermita church (my first time visiting this church) as my starting point. Here are the churches I visited:

The Nuestra Senora De Guia (or simply Ermita church) is first established in 1606 and the present church was built in 1947 and presently located in Ermita, Manila facing the US Embassy.

The second church I visited was The Manila Cathedral which is located in Intramuros and the one of the oldest church in the country. It was established in 1581 during the Spanish period and it survived natural disasters for the last 400 years. The present church is built in 1958 and its also served as the seat for the Archbishop of Manila.

The third church I visited was the San Agustin church which is also located in Intramuros. Built in 1586 and completed in 1606 and it is the oldest church in Manila that is still standing and it is considered a World Heritage site in 1993 by UNESCO as the Baroque Churches on the Philippines. It is also the burial place for Governor Generals as well as prominent families during the Spanish period.

Next church I visited is San Miguel church which is located in San Miguel, Manila where the Malacanang Palace is also located. It was established in 1603 and it is a shrine for St. Michael the Archangel and the other Angels.

After San Miguel church, I went to San Sebastian church or Basilica de San Sebastian. Completed in 1891, it is the only church or basilica in Asia that was constructed in steel with the steel materials came from Belgium. The Gothic architecture was designed Genaro Palacios based on the design of Burgos Cathedral in Spain. In 2006, San Sebastian church is on a tentative list for a World Heritage Site.

I just turned 34 last March 6 and didn't planned to celebrate this year due to budget constraints. I celebrated in silent with only known friends who greeted me by text or in Facebook.

I wanted to have my birthday a simple celebration and get some presents for myself. Again due to budget constraints, I wasn't able to buy anything that I want. Fortunately, I did bought some stuff before and after my birthday and here are some of my recent Transformers hauls...

First bought was Override from TF Cybertron (yup, the American release of Nitro Convoy) which is very hard to find and some specialty toy shops already selling the Korean version around 800-900 Php which its still very expensive on my wallet (seriously), but I was lucky and able to find one recently at TagCom for a measly 300 only. Unfortunately, I got it incomplete as it was missing a Gold Speedia Force chip (Override is leader character so the toy package comes with a Gold painted Force chip), But no worries, I'll find one in some shops soon or or get an extra Silver painted one and paint it to gold.

The most recent that I bought were the G1 versions of Ironhide and Ratchet packaged in the reissue Encore line and the local malls are selling now for 300 each which it is an easy buy for me. I bought Ironhide first 2 weeks ago and Ratchet hours ago.

I'm so happy contented to what I bought on my birthday and no regrets getting these.

Event: SM City Sta. Mesa Bloggers Event (Feb. 28, 2010)

After SM San Lazaro Bloggers event, SM City Sta. Mesa held its own Bloggers event the following day, Feb 28.

Like SM San Lazaro, the SM City Sta. Mesa Foodcourt staff treated us with variety of foods. Not only the foods they showcased, but the newly renovated foodcourt as well. Its a different ambiance once you go there. Also, what's with the event without the WiFi testing to check SM City Sta Mesa internet connection within the mall area. So far, WiFi signal is good and I'm not having any connection lag when browsing to my favorite websites.

During the event, the Foodcourt staff gave away prizes which one of those prices is a Samsung Phone which eventually won by Mr. Jonel Uy.

Event: SM Food Bloggers Event (Feb. 27, 2010)

Last Feb. 28, SM San Lazaro held its 1st Bloggers Event with a Food event and WiFi testing at the Food Court.

Ms. Frida Diaz of SM Foodcourt greeted us Bloggers to the event and showcased to us a variety of food that were served there.

Food that was served at the event were from Lydia's Lechon, Inihaw Express, Binalot, Master Siomai, Kuya's Lumpiang Sariwa, Buko ni Fruitas and Turk's Shawarma.

I had a great time tasting the food at the event, my favorite is the Tapa meal with Salted Eggs from Binalot, Ham and Schublig pizzas from Lot's A Pizza (which I admit it tastes better now than before) and Barbeque from Inihaw Express.

They also held a raffle which the winners took home 2 boxes of Pizza and 1 case of Coke 1.5 liter which we had as our drinks during the event. Though I didn't win any of the major prizes, I'm not empty handed which I took home some freebies like the Nestea plastic container and a free large Pizza card from Lot's A Pizza.

SM San Lazaro Blogging Event

I'm here in SM San Lazaro attending a food Blogging Event in Food court. So far a few bloggers are here attending the event and expecting the others will come in the event as well. I'm using SM San Lazaro's WiFi connection and so far the signal's good.

I will post some post event pictures later on because I don't have my digital camera right now, I'm using my Nokia 3230 cam phone in taking some pictures.

Back to the Old Blogging Board

Gee, I really didn't notice how time flies especially you've been away from blogging for too long. Well, I'm back now after months of being away, its time to do some serious blogging.

I'm still recovering from my personal issues I've been doing for the past couple of months. Still no work and hoping getting a new one immediately to earn funds for my customs and for my future. Right now, I've been working part time as computer technician on call to earn while still looking for work, but on-call work is seasonal and I'm only getting a few calls from my contacts so I really didn't earn that big.
But on the bright side, I still earn but hopefully I can land a new job and can really polish my skills on the computer which is my forte.

While I'm not doing anything on call, I'm doing what I love, toy custom repaints which I've been doing for months, currently I'm working on 2 TF Seeker projects which I'm hopefully be able to finish it in a few weeks. But what I really want is to do a full toy custom with scratch building and parts swapping. In fact I have 1 ideal custom project that I've been on my mind since last year but its top secret for now and I don't want to spoil anything or give the details of the said project.

For now, I'll try to be active again as much possible and hopefully attend some events that I missed. And what way to start attending events once again is the WiFi testing events and TagCom which starts tomorrow.

Climate Change: How it affected our lives

Many people already noticed for the last few years the change in the weather phenomenon we’ve been having. El Nino, La Nina and the Super Typhoons are some examples of the weather phenomenon we’re having. Its called Climate Change.

Why are we on the subject on Climate Change? Its simple: we are already very affected from it. Most people remember Hurricane Katrina in 2005 as the most devastated hurricane that hit the United States claiming thousands of lives and millions worth damaged property. This year the Philippines were struck with the same phenomenon with Hurricane Ketsana (aka Typhoon Ondoy) and Hurricane Parma (aka Typhoon Pepeng). Though it only claimed hundreds of lives, it left many people homeless and most of the country still has floods and devastation such as landslides. These weather occurrences is caused by climate change.

So whose fault that this phenomenon happened? WE ARE.

Its our fault that this happened because the environment is changing that causes the climate change. We polluted our air and water that causes a hole in the Ozone layer that resulted in Global Warming which contributed most of the climate change we are facing. Another factor that contributed the climate change is the abuse of our resources such as cutting down of trees and illegal mining. Our illegal disposal of our garbage is also the main cause of climate change. Aside from burning of garbage, harmful fumes from the trash itself are contributing the hole in the Ozone layer as well that causes the climate change on our planet dramatically.

Times have changed and we are already getting overpopulated. But its never too late to save our home, our planet. The best thing we must do is to clean up our act and stop abusing our resources. We should also stop polluting our water and air as well our trash, clean it up and we should use bio friendly materials and fuel that will not harm to the environment and to us it will also prevent the hole in the Ozone layer from getting larger.

As I write this blog for Blog Action Day with this year’s topic, Climate Change, it made me realize how our planet had become so fragile, it made me wonder how we are going to prevent climate change from happening. To the bloggers out there who are also concerned to our environment may hear our voices to all of the people concerned. Save our planet because it’s our only home.

Masked Rider News: Masked Rider W Premiered

With Masked Rider Decade ended in a cliffhanger, a new Masked Rider series premiered in Japan yesterday: Masked Rider W (or Double) this makes the 2nd Masked Rider series to air this year.

Masked Rider Double is the first Masked Rider that requires 2 people to transform into a single Rider with the use of a transforming belt called Double driver and USB flash drives called Gaia Memories. Detective Shotaro Hidari (played by Renn Kiriyama) and the mysterious Phillip (played by Masaki Suda) transforms into Masked Rider Double with Hidari serves the physical and the left half of Double while Phillip enters Hidari's body; represents the mind and the right half of Double. Together, they take on Dopant menace that terrorized all over Futo City.

Here's the opening of Double featuring the song W-B-X ~W-Boiled Extreme~ sung by Aya Kamiki w/ TAKUYA (former guitarist of the popular band JUDY AND MARY).

Local News: Sen. Mar Roxas withdraws Presidential Bid, supports Noynoy

It was a shocking news indeed.

Hours ago, Senator Mar Roxas of Liberal Party announced at a press conference at Club Filipino that he will withdraw his bid for the Presidency to give way to support to Sen. Noynoy Aquino to be the presidentiable bid of the Liberal Party for the upcoming 2010 Presidential elections.

Many people reacted to his announcement but Sen. Roxas said the reason for his withdrawal was not for himself but for the country that needs unity.

I know, I have lots of catching up to do.

I haven't been updating for a while, and I really have a lot of blog backlogs to do. I haven't have any work lately, which is now I'm going to concentrate on blogging while until I look for a new work. Earning money without work is really hard big time and I still need to find ways to earn. I already started doing PTC (Paid to Click) sites that will help me earn money online. It was referred to me by my old high school classmate of mine (I will post soon my earnings on this).

Anyway, I'll do more blogging in the few days hopefully (if I'm motivated even more that is), but first order of business is I have get my life back in order, earn money while online, learn basic web programming which I have to revamp the layout of Robot Pilipinas and post some of my backlog and new posts.

Since I'm doing customize repaints on my toys, I decided to setup another blog site dedicating to custom toy repaints mostly Transformers maybe I might do commission repaint jobs as a sideline too.

As for work, I'm back at my old company doing contractual work for them. All they need is to call me and do computer maintenance work. Its not much but at least I have a good pay per contact.

Hopefully, I can do better now with motivation to achieve these goals.

Transformers News: Revenge Buster Optimus Prime?

hailbot-0 of TFW2005.com has posted an image of Takara-Tomy RoTF Revenge Buster Optimus Prime figure.

The figure is a still the RoTF leader class Optimus figure with few new additions/changes, the figure will have a different face sculpt which he has a mouth now, the tanks at his back is now removable and also included are his hand held guns used in the RoTF movie.

There's no confirmation when this will be released, hopefully Hasbro will soon follow too. Thanks also to TM2 D-Bot for the heads up.

UPDATE: Uploaded a clearer image of Buster Optimus Prime, and the fuel tanks on his back are removable and transforms and adds additional parts to form his blasters. Click on the image to enlarge.

I haven't have made a lot of updates lately after my 2 week work on my Optimus Prime custom repaint, I missed my coverage blog of ToyCon last June 13 & 14, movie screening events and many more.

I hope I would update it as soon I have my composure back in order. For now, I'm at the WiFi testing event at the SM Megamall enjoying free WiFi internet access on my laptop.

Finally, my new collection gallery is up and its a special one, the much anticipated Leader Class Optimus Prime Revenge of the Fallen version. This figure is much closer to the CG version of the movie compared with previous released Optimus figure from the first movie.

Please enjoy viewing my small gallery of this famous Autobot leader. I'll make my review of this figure later on. Also this will be the last time the figure will look like this as I have plans in customizing this figure to be more realistic as the one in the movie.

Heer0san's Blog: Visiting the TF RoTF Toy Launch

I've been busy with my schedules lately and I was able free my schedule to attend another event that I covered and that is the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Toy launch at the Atrium in SM Megamall last May 30 which was sponsored by Toy Kingdom and Cybertron Philippines.

I arrived at Megamall at exactly 10AM with two things on my mind: to cover the event and getting me a Leader Class Optimus Prime RoTF version. Well, here I was when I arrived at the venue, the crowd is already jam packed and I hurriedly went there.

When I went to look for Optimus Prime figures, it was already out of stock and saw a lot people who has Opimus Prime figs and get this, they don't have only one but two or three more Primes in their shopping carts. Don't these people care that a lot of kids and TF fans/collectors who want to get hands on it.

Anyway, TK already announced 30 mins later that they are restocking the LC Optimus figures and I felt a sign of relief. However when it arrived, several collectors are already ahead and tried getting the Primes, I have to wrestle with them to get one but it slipped through my fingers and I failed in getting one. When this chaos emerged, SM security has ordered the TK staff to remove the stocks in the venue and place it outside. They also ordered us to fall in line to get these figures in an orderly manner.

During that time I was able to meet 2 of fellow Transformers PH members, Carlo (Wavski) and Rainer. Rainer wants also to get his hands on LC Optimus Prime and we fell in line to get one. When the TK staff restarts distributing the figures, chaos emerged again and tried to wrestle with the other collectors, in the end I was able to get one.

After getting my objective, I went to the check out counter. While I was in the line, I saw a Premium Jazz figure from the first movie and was able to get one too. After checking out, I went to the freebies table to get my freebies: 3 posters of Optimus Prime and filled stubs for the Toy Vault raffle contest and Minicon in a Jar contest. After that, I did my coverage of the event and talked with fellow members and acquaintances: Joriben (which I gave him my extra free Optimus poster), Chie (Devastator) falling in line to get an Optimus figure also, Jayford, my and Caloy's common friend, Magnusjam, Caloy, and Chaz which I gave him my last extra poster. I stayed there till the afternoon.

During the event, Chaz overheard that my name is called on stage. I ignored it at first because I didn't hear it, I went back and forth if its really calling my name. When I heard my name called on stage, I hurriedly went there. When I arrived they told me that I'm a participant in the 2nd draw of the Toy Vault contest which I have a chance to win Php 5,000 worth of TF toys. All they wanted me to do by winning the contest is to spin the wheel. After I spin the wheel, it landed on the consolation prize, a poster. Tough luck, I was almost able to win the said prize its only 3 blocks away from winning it.

Anyway, you win some, you lose some. Overall, the event is a success even with a few hitches and kids were able to get of the figures and enjoyed it. As for me, I was able to get what I wanted and probably might not get toys in the upcoming ToyCon event as I have plans to manage my expenses and the scale model projects I'm working on this year.

Event: SM North Edsa The Block WiFi Testing

Last May 15, I was able to attend the WiFi testing held in SM North Edsa's The Block building.

Anime News: Gurren Lagann Premieres on Animax

Animax Asia has added their anime line-up this May with the addition of the hit anime, Gurren Lagann.

Gurren Lagann (whole title Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann) is a 27 episode anime series created by Gainax, the same production that brought groundbreaking anime titles such as Neon Genesis Evangelion, His and Her Circumstances (Karekano) and FLCL (Furi Kuri).

Gurren Lagann follows the adventures of Simon and his friend Kamina who dream of going to the Earth’s surface.

Their dream looks to set to become reality when a giant mecha crashes unexpectedly into their underground village to ignite an effort by humans to fight the Beastmen and regain control of Earth’s surface using their powerful robot, Gurren Lagann. Joining them in their mission is the sexy sniper Yoko Ritona, the mysterious girl Nia Teppelin and the crew of Team Gurren.

Gurren Lagann is directed by by Hiroyuki Imaishi, written by veteran playwright Kazuki Nakashima.

It will be premiered on Animax Asia on May 22 at 7:30 PM (SIN and PHI)

Gundam News: MG Gundam Exia confirmed

When I read the news this morning about Bandai unveiled the MG Gundam Exia at this year's Shizuoka Hobby Show in Japan, I got excited and said to myself finally Exia is now on MG format.

And it inspires to building scale models again, most especially the design of Gundam Exia and 00 Gundam really grew on me. After the news that Exia will be released on MG this July, I can't wait to get this model aside from the upcoming 00 Raiser Designer Colors edition that I planned on getting will be released in June.

Anime News: Animax's LaMB Premieres Tomorrow

Tomorrow, March 24 is the premiere telecast of LaMB, Animax's Original Anime feature that stars Van Ness Wu of the F4 fame, Josie Ho and soundtrack by Simple Plan and The Click Five and fashion costumes by Vivienne Tam.

LaMB is originally based on a script by fellow Filipino viewer Carmelo Juinio, winner of the Animax Asia Awards 2007 regional script-writing competition. LaMB is the first Anime that uses Flash animation rather than traditional Cel animation and combining with 3D animation.

LaMB will premiere exclusively on Animax as a two part movie starts tomorrow, March 24, and part 2 is on March 31 at 8PM (Phil). The full length version will air on April 7. So catch these dates.

Hmm, where to begin?

Basically there a lot of rants and raves that happened these past 2 months. Getting motivated by blogging to get this boredom out of my system and do interesting stuff like events that I attended like the SM Marikina Bloggers meet and the 2nd Day of TagCom which I enjoyed meeting with my old friends that I haven't seen in weeks.

I thought that I was going home empty handed at TagCom but I bagged some TF's most especially TF Movie LC Optimus Prime which costs me half of the original price., Oh, I also got my TF Henkei Cyclonus last payday (after TagCom). Still worth it as part of my birthday presents for myself.

Speaking of birthdays, I turned 33 last March 6. Most of my friends greeted me by text. I celebrated by birthday alone by going on a food trip. Another good news is that my boss in the office give me a day off since its my birthday. The bad news came when I got home when I learned that Francis M.; Philippines' master rapper passed away that afternoon. It was all over the news.

Since he's an honorary Transformers Philippines member, I paid my respects going to Christ the King chruch where his remains were there. I went with Magnusjam, Jaycee and the other bloggers to see Francis M. for one last time.

After these events, its back to normal and preparing for my real birthday celebration which has been going on my mind for weeks to had it push through. The venue was at my friend's place in Q.C. where I went there and fix up the venue for my birthday.

My birthday celebration pushed through and I invited Magnusjam, Joriben and Jaycee from TFPH side while I also invited some of my friends, so basically a guys night out. I really enjoyed my birhtday even though the ice cream cake I bought in Dairy Queen melted, but that's okay, the important is that I'm so happy on my special day.

More good news is that I was able to get more TF hauls this week when I finally got my hands on Movie LC Megatron and Jazz.

Anyway, until the next time... :)

Its been a long time since I've blogged my on site, lately I have been inactive. The reason is because of my nature of my work which is website project coordinating. As a project coordinator, I've been assigned the tasks of supervising the work in the office. At the end of the day, I'm too lazy to blog because I already spent office work on the internet everyday so its boring to face the computer again this time doing my personal stuff.

I've been very weak in the past 2 months but I was able to recover and somehow managed my time schedule. Hopefully I could adjust more comfortable with my schedule.

Probably in a few days, I can work on my blog again since I've been updating some news in Robot Pilipinas, maybe I can do the same here in my personal site.

It's too early to celebrate my 33th Birthday but I want it to be different this year because I want to celebrate also the anniversaries of 2 of my favorite franchise series: 30th Anniversary of Gundam and 25th Anniversary of Transformers.

And to start the celebration I bought 1st of my birthday gift for myself, my 2nd Master Grade Gundam model that I acquired and the most expensive that I bought, the Strike Freedom Gundam FULL BURST MODE set which I got it from GT Greenhills this afternoon in which I reserved it weeks before. There goes my budget... again. XD

Though I didn't plan to buy this as my birthday gift and since its Transformers, I decided to get it anyway, a loose TF Animated Blurr.

I can't wait for March to come (my birth month) when I get my 2nd half of my birthday present, a MP (Masterpiece) Grimlock. ;D

Its kinda late post for this entry because I've had some stuff on my mind lately. Well anyway, here are my late January toy hauls...

Finally, I acquired 2 of the last Musha Keroro Robo models, Giroro Robo and Dororo Robo and now my set is complete. Since GI Joe comes again with the upcoming movie and celebrating its anniversary last year, I purchased another figure besides from the Storm Shadow that I acquired last year.

With the GI Joe Resolute animation figures like Duke and Cobra Commander Resolute versions are now hard to find nowadays, toy collectors double the value of these figures,and that is not so cool. However, just last week I finally acquired the big snake in one of the shops in Greenhills and what do you know, I got it on SRP. Lucky! :D

Heer0san's Blog: My Evening Gala Attendace in a Piano Concert

Yesterday afternoon, my friend Carlo phoned me and he's inviting me to watch a piano concert at 7:30 later that evening. So I accepted the invitation because I also wanted to watch a piano concert.

So, hours later, he picked me up at my house and we went there in the concert venue, Philamlife Auditorium in UN Avenue. There we watched (along with Carlo's piano teacher) the piano concert of Russian pianist, Valida Rassoulova. She performed several musical masterpieces of Scarlatti, Haydn, Karaev, Debussy, Chopin and of course Beethoven. I was amazed on how she played the piano so well with feelings. I guess Russians are famous for art and music and I really enjoyed watching her perform. The performance lasted for almost 2 hours. After the show, I noticed there are several prominent people who attended the concert too, Sen. Franklin Drillon and his wife, musicians Jose Mari Chan and Chris Villonco were also there.

Well, I enjoyed watching a piano performance, probably next time I would like attending some these gala too. I would ike to thank to my friend, Mr. Carlo Papa for inviting me on this rare occassion.

Heer0san's Blog: My First Toy Hauls for 2009

Its not a bad start for toy hauls for the year 2009, but its worth the catch. Last Jan. 6, I went to Toys R Us in Robinsons Galleria to look for TF toys and Gundam models guess what I found there, two TF Animated Swinde figures.

My friend magnusjam of Transformers Philippines was looking for either TFA Blurr or Swindle, lucky me I found one and so I texted him that I found a Swindle figure and asked him if I'll buy him one too and he texted back and said yes and he will pay me later when he gets his salary. So I bought the two Swindle figures; 1 for me and 1 for him. Next I went to Greenhills to look for more TF figures and lucky me again I found 3 sought after TFU figures, Hound, G1 colors Starscream, and Cyclonus. Since I'm on a tight budget and saving for a rainy day, I bought Cyclonus only.

When I got home, my brother showed me his latest plushie acquisitions, and he showed me the Mirara plushie from Keroro Gunsou Movie. He told me to buy it but I'm against buying it since I already gave him allowance last month and so the plushie should be free instead. At first he's against it giving it to me free, but I have won over it and he gave it to me.

It's my luckiest day in acquiring these collectibles.

Keroro News: Upcoming Keropla Releases

I'm a little sad this will be released since I'm getting the separate versions of these, oh well.

Toysdaily has posted upcoming Keroro Gunsou Keropla figure line up. Starting with the Musha Keroro Robo Dai-Shogun set which contains all of the 5 Musha Keroro Robo figures previously released, in addition to that, the set will include a cloak. Check out the image below...

Also, on the upcoming line-up is Lieutenant Garuru figure, check out the prototype image.

The Musha Keroro Robo Dai-Shogun set is priced at 4,725 Yen while the Lieutenant Garuru figure is priced at 630 Yen; all inclusive of tax.

Heer0san's Blog: 2008: A Look Back...

2008 is the year that has been a hit & miss. Triumphs and failures have been a whirlwind of happenings for me. So here's what happened in the past year:

2008 was a memorable year to me that after almost 8 years in my first job, my employer decided to end my services in Mid-June and finished all of my pending work related stuff at the end of that month. And I thought I was going to be jobless the whole year, but its the other way around, so after a week of rest, I was able to find a job in Pasig working as an online researcher thanks to my dear friend Lace for giving the opportunity to work there. Unfortunately, she resigned in late September and I took over her position as Project Coordinator, which it was a blessing and sad at the same time to see her leave, she's the only known friend I had in the office. However, I was able to meet new friends there in the office in the last 5 months.

Since I'm still adjusting to my new workplace, I've been able to attend some events and hangouts like the Coke Bloggers Meet 2, FHM Diana Zubiri Autograph signing, Mach Diesel's Farewell Party (missed the dude though his wild antics :D), Yehey PopPinoyan Christmas Party and the Christmas ToyCon.

Other Events that I and my fellow TFPH members is the 7th ToyCon which we unvieled fellow TFPH member Dash his TF Animated figure collection and Eugene's Binaltech collection exclusives on our exhibitor cabinet. Also, during the Christmas ToyCon has been a biggest achievement for me and my fellow Transfans is that we donated Toys and other things to the Children of Bantay Bata 163 alongside with Toy Soldier 1:18.

Also this year, I also collected some toys, mostly collected are sought after Transformers Animated toys. Also in the list I've collected are assorted Transformers figures, some non-TF related collectibles such as Fraulein Revoltech figures of Rei Ayanami, Soryu Asuka Langley of Evangelion and Yoko Ritona from Gurren Lagann, Keroro Gunsou and assorted plushies, Super Sentai Mecha mostly the recent acquired Magiking. But the biggest and most expensive that I acquired last year is the SOC Daimos which I purchased last October. Not only toys I acquired last year from my separation pay which I received from my former employer for working there so long, I was able to purchase my own laptop, the Blue Radon W310 and a Western Digital MyBook to store all my overflowing Anime Series video collection.

Speaking of Keroro Gunsou, this is the reason why I fond of loving this Anime series, because its funny and you can relate to this series like spoofs from different Anime series and Gunpla (Gundam Plastc Model) in fact this lead me to go back scale modeling again when I purchased the Keroro Robo Mk. I set which I entered in the IPMS National Scale Model Competition last November. Also, I launch of my secondary blog site, Blogspot and the establishment of my Robot fandom group, Robot Pilipinas.

I think that's about it for 2008, I look forward to for positive outlook for the year 2009, and hopefully it will be better than last year.

First of all, I want to say to everyone a very Happy New Year.

A new year begins and hopefully, we have a positive outlook for year 2009. 2008 has been a very noisy year for us with calamities, scandals and some nonsense political drama on the scene, especially the recent Global Financial Crisis that's been affecting the whole world where some countries called "The Great Depression II".

Many of my fellow countrymen believed that they have a positive outlook for this year, as what surveys says too. But I don't believe in surveys or what they said, if you want to have a positive outlook for this year, make some of it for yourself.

I don't make New Years Resolutions anymore because they don't always materialize as you've hoped for. I for one, I want to do it on my own without the stupid resolutions.

To all of my friends out there, I wish all the best for you and your family this year. May we have many more blessings for this year too.

I didn't expect to spend a lot that much for the month of December. And speaking of December, its Christmas time and 13th month pay comes in... Unfortunately for me, I already spent all my 1st 13th month pay (from my new work which I started in July) on Toy hauls and some personal stuff to wear. Here are the recent hauls for December and my recent purchases from 3rd Christmas ToyCon and from the Converse Sale.

Anime News: New Anime Line-up for 2009

Well, 2008 is been a blast of line-up of Anime shows this year: Code Geass R2, Gundam 00 Season 2, not mention Macross Frontier, Casshern SINS and Birdy the Mighty. Next year, the line-up will more exciting as the last one with January 2009 line-up: Afro returns, Lina, Goro and Birdy will be back for another season, Koji retells his classic Super Robot story, Ippo is back in the ring, and new set of characters and series for 2009. Here's the upcoming line-up:

Heer0san's Blog: My 2nd Scale Model project is here...

As promised I would return to scale modeling. I will restart working on the Master Grade ZZ Gundam and once I finished it, I'll start working on this next project... (click on the pic to view the large image)

I got the God Keron set last week and I've been itching to assemble and start working on it, but I restrained myself and must first do as originally planned, rebuild the ZZ Gundam. I sent the set to my friend's place for safekeeping so I'll concentrate working on the Gundam first before going to this one.

Well its going to be a tight budget for toys next year as TakaraTomy or should I say Tomy will be releasing the next Masterpiece series and its going to be my fave Transformers character, Grimlock.

Heer0san's Plamo: Keroro Robo Set

For Keroro fans out there, here's my recently worked scale model, Keroro Robo Plamo (Plastic Model) Set from the Anime series Sergeant Keroro (Keroro Gunsou in Japanese title).

I recently entered this set in the IPMS National Scale Modeling Competition last November 24-29 in SM Megamall under the Sci-Fi Mecha category. Though I didn't win in the contest; many people who saw my models appreciate it and some are fans of this Anime series.

Official Re-opening of my blog...

Ok, after 2 months of rearranging some fixes, I'm officially opening my secondary blog site.

Why the delay, might ask?

Well for starters, (1) I'm damn too lazy to do for the web and (2) since I'm starting out to do some basic web designing on my own try to learn to make the design of my website using html. But in the end, I only made the title logo for my website, I'll try to work harder to update this for the upcoming months.

Well, I'll try to start posting some news on Anime, Mecha, Technology or anything under the sun in the coming days. Hopefully, I would update this site more than ever aside from my Multiply site and my newly created Robot Fandom Group, Robot Pilipinas. (Thanks to Azrael for creating this site link as well)

SO without further adeau, I'm welcoming you for my re-launch of my Secondary Blog site.
